When Skillshare asked me to teach a watercolor class, to be honest I was a bit hesitant at first. I have never taught a class before, much less one to permanently live on the internet! But they gracefully guided me throughout the process, helping with planning and resources and before I knew it my class was published!
I knew I wanted to teach something bite-sized, and make watercolor fun and approachable. So in this basic watercolor class, I go over the essential supplies to get started, cover starting blending techniques, and then demo painting two designs onto note cards (the blue ombre one in the center, and the bright circles one to the right of it). If you're interested in learning watercolor with an easy and fun pattern-filled project, I would love if you joined my class. And please do not hesitate to ask me anything if you have questions along the way! I don't know everything there is to know about watercolor, but I feel confident that anyone can get started in the medium and enjoy the process, plus end up with a cute set of patterned note cards!
And if you haven't heard of Skillshare before, it's a great place to learn just about anything creative that you can think of. I've been taking Skillshare classes for years, and in fact it's how I started learning to design patterns! Some classes are free, but most are premium. If you sign up using my discount link you can get 3 months of premium classes for FREE (it's $8/month after that so if you don't want to continue just remember to cancel).
Happy painting and if you join I hope you enjoy the class!! There may be more classes to come ;)
